13 Feb
Summary
- Two chilled desserts recalled due to incorrect use-by dates.
- Products are unsafe to eat as labeled.
- Consumers can return items for a full refund.

Two chilled dessert products from Althams Fine Foods have been recalled by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) due to incorrect use-by dates. These products are considered unsafe to eat as labeled. The affected items were sold exclusively at Booths stores.
Customers who purchased the recalled desserts are advised to stop consumption immediately and dispose of the products. A full refund can be obtained by returning the items to the Booths store where they were bought. Point-of-sale notices are being displayed to inform shoppers of the recall details and procedures.
This action follows a separate recall by Farmfoods of Ritz Cheese Sandwiches. The Ritz sandwiches were recalled because allergens, including milk, soya, and wheat, were not adequately emphasized on the product labeling. The FSA’s recall for the Ritz sandwiches specifically applies to England and Wales.
