Minister for Medical Education and Skill Development Sharan Prakash Patil underscored this at the inauguration of DERMACON Bengaluru 2026, the 54th national conference of IADVL.
He emphasized that skin health, often overlooked, directly influences life quality. Timely medical intervention is vital to prevent complications. The Minister also called for extending dermatological care beyond hospitals, promoting outreach to underserved areas to combat misinformation.
Bhagavan B.C., Vice-Chancellor of RGUHS, highlighted continuous medical education and research in addressing skin, hair, and nail disorder challenges. IADVL President Rajeev Sharma reiterated the association's commitment to patient-centric dermatology and public service, citing initiatives like free skin health camps and anti-quackery programs.
