The 79-year-old artist shared in an Instagram post that the surgery happened a couple of weeks earlier and was declared a complete success by his doctors. He expressed optimism about his recovery, anticipating he will be back to normal within a few months, and looks forward to resuming his musical activities.

Hall, who previously battled Lyme disease diagnosed in 2006, did not share further details about the kidney transplant. He is known for his extensive music career, including 18 studio albums with John Oates and six Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits. His recent solo album, 'D', was released in 2024.
