Eric tragically passed away from Covid-19 in April 2021.
Rachel, who had previously left school without GCSEs, embarked on a challenging academic journey. She began with GCSEs in maths and English, progressed to an access course, and ultimately earned a university nursing degree. She recently graduated, a significant achievement considering the current competitive job market for nursing graduates in the NHS.
Despite facing difficulties in balancing her studies with raising her three children and experiencing a challenging job application process, Rachel remains resolute. She emphasized her determination to find a nursing position, showcasing to her children the power of perseverance and achieving one's goals regardless of age or circumstance.
