Inquest: Was Covid Vaccine Linked to Woman's Stroke?
22 Jun
Summary
- An inquest is investigating an 85-year-old woman's death after a stroke.
- The woman received a Pfizer Covid jab and flu vaccine days prior.
- Her family questioned the cause of death, prompting the coroner's review.

An inquest is underway to determine if a Covid-19 vaccination contributed to the death of 85-year-old Mohinder Kaur Mahal, who experienced a stroke on October 26, 2022, and passed away five days later. The vaccination in question was the Pfizer Covid jab, administered alongside a flu shot on October 19, 2022.
Mohinder Kaur Mahal's family raised concerns about the cause of death, leading to the matter being referred to the coroner. The inquest, relocated to Leicester due to prior bias concerns, heard that Mahal was reluctant to receive the second vaccine dose. Despite having significant pre-existing health conditions including heart failure and high blood pressure, her son reported a doctor at the surgery suggested she should not have received the vaccination.
A stroke consultant testified that he did not believe the vaccination played a role, citing her existing serious health issues. However, the senior coroner indicated further evidence would be sought if the Covid jab was found to be a contributing factor in her death.
