Pretty Manyimo's inspiring career began humbly in 2002 as a hospital cleaner at Glenfield Hospital after relocating to the UK. Witnessing the compassionate care provided by nursing staff motivated her to pursue her own nursing aspirations. She successfully qualified as a nurse in 2012, later joining Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust as a community nurse the following year.
Her professional focus shifted towards end-of-life care, a path influenced by her mother's challenging healthcare experiences. Manyimo now serves within a specialist palliative care team, a collaborative effort between the NHS Trust and LOROS hospice. In 2025, she was honored with the distinguished Queen's Nurse title, acknowledging her sustained commitment and excellence in community nursing.
