This voluntary recall by TBC Distribution Corporate was initiated after analysis by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets. This incident is part of a larger, ongoing issue, with 19 other ground cinnamon products having been recalled since July 2024 due to potential lead contamination.
The recalled Lucky Foods Cinnamon Powder is sold in 40 g pouches with best-by dates before September 15, 2027. Distribution spanned numerous states, including California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Texas. Consumers who have purchased this product are urged to discard it or return it to the point of purchase for a refund.
