Former NFL Star Chris Johnson Faces ALS Challenges

Former NFL star Chris Johnson, once renowned for his speed, is now confronting the profound challenges of ALS. Diagnosed in May 2025, the disease has rapidly progressed, significantly altering his daily life.

Johnson currently relies on an eye-controlled tablet for communication and requires constant support from his wife, Brittany, and family for essential tasks like eating and dressing. He uses a CPAP machine to aid his breathing, a stark contrast to his active past.

The ALS diagnosis also led to the postponement of his Tennessee Titans Ring of Honor induction ceremony. While Johnson has pondered a connection between his football career and his illness, doctors have not established a link.

Despite these hardships, Johnson's spirit remains strong, focused on family and future moments. He actively cheers on his sons' football games, imparting lessons about body care.
