China, Singapore Forge Elder Care Alliance

Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) in Beijing and Singapore's Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) formalized a significant partnership on August 21, 2026, through a memorandum of understanding. This collaboration aims to deepen cooperation in elderly care and pioneer new strategies for healthy aging, while also jointly hosting a symposium on caring for older adults in an aging society. The agreement encompasses geriatric medicine, palliative care, rehabilitation services, and clinical ethics, with a strong emphasis on integrated care, medical education, and joint research endeavors. Both hospitals expressed a shared commitment to patient-centered care and innovation, intending to combine their mature experiences and complementary strengths to address the evolving needs of an aging global population.
