Summary
- Cheryl Ladd revealed her aggressive breast cancer diagnosis publicly.
- Her Charlie's Angels costars Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson also battled cancer.
- Early detection and self-awareness are stressed for breast cancer prevention.

Actress and singer Cheryl Ladd has revealed that she previously underwent treatment for an aggressive form of breast cancer. The 74-year-old shared details of her "humbling" experience, including hair loss, during a PaleyFest panel celebrating the 50th anniversary of Charlie's Angels. She expressed gratitude for her doctors and supportive husband, noting her desire to be open due to her costars' own cancer histories.
Her Charlie's Angels co-stars Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson have also been public about their breast cancer diagnoses and treatments. Smith was diagnosed in 2002 and has been cancer-free since 2002. Jackson battled the disease twice, first in 1987 and again in 1989, undergoing multiple surgeries. Farrah Fawcett also tragically passed away from anal cancer in 2009.
Smith offered Ladd support by sending her wigs and emphasizing her bravery. The actresses have since become advocates for early detection and regular screenings. Ladd urged women to "do not ignore" any concerning changes found during self-examinations. Health officials recommend women begin regular mammograms at age 40 and practice breast self-awareness.
