TwinTech expands eye care for psychiatric residents

TwinTech Healthcare Services, a division of the TwinTech Institute of Education Trust in Chennai, is significantly enhancing its eye care services.
This expansion specifically targets individuals living with psychiatric conditions and residents residing in rehabilitation centers.
In the last year, the program conducted comprehensive eye examinations for over 1,200 residents at four different psychiatric rehabilitation centers. These examinations identified various issues, including uncorrected refractive errors, advanced cataracts, and glaucoma suspects.
The initiative is now extending its reach to an additional 1,000 individuals with psychiatric conditions. The team is currently performing detailed eye check-ups for residents in psychiatric rehabilitation centers within the Perambalur district, with plans to cover Chennai and neighboring districts.
This vital eye care effort is being spearheaded by experienced doctors Krishna Kumar and A. Mahalingam, who collectively bring over three decades of expertise in eyecare services.
