His career included establishing the hospital's academic division, spearheading numerous research initiatives, and launching over twenty DNB courses. Dr. Vijayaraghavan's medical journey began after graduating from Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, leading to specialized studies in Cardiology. He was recognized for his work on endomyocardial fibrosis and for establishing the nation's first 2D echocardiography laboratory in 1980.
Dr. Vijayaraghavan's expertise also extended to international roles, including positions at Kuwait University Hospital and Welcare Hospital in Dubai. He was a university guide for PhD research and had his findings published globally. His extensive accolades include lifetime achievement awards and honorary fellowships from prestigious medical organizations worldwide.
