She is now undergoing CAR-T cell therapy, a new-age targeted treatment, at Apollo Hospital. Doctors report her condition is stable and that results from this therapy have been encouraging.

CAR-T cell therapy is primarily for patients with hematological cancers who have relapsed or not responded to standard treatments. Hospitals in the city have begun offering this therapy, with a significant number of procedures performed. The treatment involves extracting a patient's T-cells, bioengineering them, and reintroducing them into the body.

This advanced therapy offers a meaningful opportunity for patients with aggressive blood cancers like primary refractory lymphoma, especially when conventional treatments such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy have failed.
