- His daughter Birdie was born nine months after the donation.
- He uses his daughter as motivation to battle stage four cancer.

Liam Bradley, aged 38, received a diagnosis of stage four bile duct cancer in March 2025 following flu-like symptoms. Facing the likelihood of infertility due to upcoming chemotherapy, he and his partner, Lois Rose, decided to donate sperm. This proactive measure allowed them to welcome their daughter, Birdie, on July 15, 2026.
Bradley emphasized that his family provides essential emotional support, preventing cancer from dominating his life. He had initially noticed jaundice and sought medical attention, leading to scans that revealed 12 inoperable tumors. A six-week delay before starting chemotherapy unexpectedly provided the window for his sperm donation, which he completed just an hour before commencing treatment in Nottingham.
Birdie's arrival has been described as a "miracle" and a "perfect baby" by Lois, offering the couple immense joy and a powerful reason to live and fight. Despite initial positive responses to treatment, Liam experienced severe side effects and a gallbladder infection, requiring intensive care in May 2026. He has since resumed chemotherapy due to the cancer's spread to his lung.
Liam is now sharing his story for the AMMF charity's film to offer hope to others with cholangiocarcinoma. He is also participating in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on October 27, 2026, to raise funds for AMMF, expressing a strong desire to live for his daughter and celebrate milestones with her.
