A honeymoon trip intended to celebrate a new beginning has taken a critical turn for Sarah Danh, a 27-year-old labor and delivery nurse from San Antonio. Following her wedding on March 21st, Danh and her husband, Luke Gradl, traveled to Tokyo for their honeymoon. Their plans quickly changed upon arrival on April 8th when Danh began feeling unwell.
By April 9th, Danh's health deteriorated significantly, prompting an emergency room visit just before midnight. She was subsequently moved to the ICU due to a life-threatening decline. Doctors identified severe liver complications that also impacted her brain function. Danh has since been medically evacuated and is en route back to Texas.
