Bride-to-Be Falls into Coma After Routine Injection
6 May
Summary
- A woman entered a coma after receiving an injection for cold symptoms.
- The injection was administered by non-medical staff at a clinic.
- An unqualified doctor prescribed the medication, leading to malpractice claims.

A wedding planned for April 25 has been overshadowed by tragedy after a 24-year-old woman fell into a coma following a clinic visit in January. The bride-to-be sought treatment for cold symptoms, including a sore throat.
At the clinic, a woman, later identified as non-medical staff, administered an injection without performing allergy tests. The prescribing doctor was reportedly not qualified to practice medicine. Minutes after the injection, the woman experienced severe symptoms, including vomiting and difficulty breathing.
Paramedics arrived to find her in shock, and she was subsequently hospitalized. Doctors diagnosed her with respiratory failure and acidosis, likely due to anaphylaxis. She sustained irreversible brain damage after being deprived of oxygen for over four minutes.
After 92 days, she began to show signs of awareness, opening her eyes and smiling at her fiancé two days before their wedding. The groom-to-be reported the clinic for malpractice. The clinic has since closed, and the woman allegedly paid compensation before disappearing.
