In November 2025, Shanice Bennett, a 26-year-old woman from Sittingbourne, is facing a heartbreaking reality. Just three years ago, she was first diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at the young age of 23. Despite being told she was too young for the disease, Shanice persisted and underwent a grueling treatment regimen, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, a mastectomy, and lymph node removal.
By March 2024, Shanice had completed her treatment and was in remission. However, her relief was short-lived. A few months later, she started experiencing debilitating back pain that she initially dismissed as fatigue. It wasn't until she went to the emergency room that Shanice received the devastating news - the cancer had spread to her bones, lungs, and liver, leaving her with a terminal diagnosis.
Now, Shanice is determined to make the most of the time she has left. She has created a bucket list, filled with travel aspirations, concerts, and other experiences she hopes to tick off. Shanice has already taken her nephew to Disneyland Paris, visited New York with her family, and witnessed her mother's wedding in Cyprus. She has also booked a trip to Rome and is hoping to secure an exclusive preview or set visit for the upcoming Hunger Games film, Sunrise on the Reaping.
To help finance her bucket list dreams and create lasting memories with her loved ones, Shanice has launched a GoFundMe campaign. She is also using her platform on TikTok, where she has amassed over 22,000 followers, to share her journey and inspire others.
