Mom's 'Stress Headache' Revealed as Brain Cancer
27 Feb
Summary
- A mother's tension headaches were diagnosed as stage four brain cancer.
- She previously battled and overcame breast cancer twice.
- Her husband is undertaking the three peaks challenge for charity.

Rose Biggs, a 35-year-old mother of two, initially dismissed her symptoms as tension headaches due to holiday stress. However, severe discomfort and deteriorating vision led her to seek medical help, uncovering two brain lesions. This discovery was particularly devastating as Rose had previously battled breast cancer twice, achieving remission after a mastectomy.
The lesions indicated that her prior cancer had metastasised, progressing to stage four brain cancer. She underwent surgery to remove a 5cm tumor at the back of her head, with a smaller tumor on her temple scheduled for radiotherapy. Rose is determined to remain positive for her children, aged seven and ten.
Her husband, Sam, is raising funds for Cancer Research by completing the three peaks challenge. The team has already surpassed £13,000 in donations, showcasing strong community support for Rose, whom he calls his 'warrior'. Sam is actively researching alternative treatments abroad to aid her recovery.
