Boob job horror: Woman fears 'exploding' breasts after sepsis

A woman's quest for confidence through a £3,000 breast uplift procedure in Turkey resulted in a terrifying health crisis. Aimee Carr, a mother of three, underwent the surgery on July 30th, aiming to address sagging breasts after nine years of breastfeeding. She reported severe pain post-operation, yet was allegedly discharged from the clinic the same day.

Within 24 hours, Carr developed a fever and a distinct crackling sensation beneath her skin. Despite concerns raised with her surgeon, she claims to have been reassured and deemed fit to fly. However, upon returning to the UK on August 5th, her condition rapidly deteriorated. She was advised to go to A&E, where she temporarily lost vision, collapsed, and woke up to find herself in a pool of blood.

Doctors at the hospital diagnosed her with life-threatening sepsis, indicating her organs were beginning to shut down. She was transferred to Wythenshawe Hospital for treatment, including IV fluids and pain relief, and was discharged after a week on August 12th. Horrifying images documented the extent of her injury, with blood leaking from her breasts. Carr is currently undergoing treatment for six infected holes and may require implant removal if the sepsis does not resolve.
