The recalled ice cream was distributed through retail outlets in 16 states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. Blue Bell has urged consumers allergic to these nuts to avoid the product, as consuming it could result in a "serious or life-threatening allergic reaction."
Fortunately, as of the recall announcement, no illnesses or deaths have been reported in connection with the affected ice cream. Customers who have purchased the recalled Moo-llennium Crunch can return the product to their place of purchase for a full refund.
