They have been assigned to major institutions like Patna Medical College and Hospital, Nalanda Medical College and Hospital, and Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital.
Additional postings include institutions in Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Pawapuri, Purnia, Bettiah, Chhapra, Samastipur, and Madhepura. The health department highlighted that the selection process prioritized transparency, accommodating doctor preferences, administrative needs, and public interest, with special consideration for disabled candidates.
Health Minister Nishant Kumar stated that the induction of these 446 doctors represents a significant stride in enhancing specialist medical services, as well as the quality of medical education and training available in Bihar's government health facilities.
