Bhavnagar police have initiated 'Mission Aarogyam,' a structured three-phase health and wellness program aimed at supporting their personnel. This comprehensive initiative, operating under the motto "Swasth Police, Sashakt Seva," addresses the physical and mental well-being of officers.
Phase one involves regular medical screening to detect non-communicable diseases and metabolic disorders early. Personnel are categorized into 'Green,' 'Amber,' and 'Red' zones based on their health status, facilitating targeted interventions.
Phase two, termed 'MANAS,' focuses on psychological resilience and mental wellness through workshops on stress management and meditation. Each station will appoint a wellness nodal officer for peer support.
The third phase ensures long-term security by mandating 100% enrollment in the Gujarat Karmayogi Swasthya Suraksha Yojana, providing cashless medical cover of up to Rs 10 lakh for personnel and their families.
