The Centre for Autism and other Disabilities Rehabilitation Research and Education (CADRRE) is hosting a significant two-day autism awareness celebration at Lulu Mall. The event commenced on Saturday, March 21, 2026, with a special award ceremony.
This ceremony honored Ashok Mysore Visweswariah, founder of CARE-ADD, with a posthumous 'Lifetime Contribution to Autism' award. The award was presented by former cabinet secretary K M Chandrasekhar to Dr. Vijaya Raman. Following this, jury members announced the recipients of the CADRRE International Filmlet Festival on Autism 2026 awards, presented by playback singer G Venugopal.
The celebration continues with an exhibition by autistic entrepreneurs, open throughout both days. A panel discussion on "Across the ages: From diagnosis to strength-based support" was held on Saturday. Sunday features performances by autistic artists, highlighting their talents and contributions.
