The Mayo Clinic describes Brugada syndrome as a potentially life-threatening heart rhythm disorder that can lead to sudden cardiac death, particularly during rest or sleep.

Cooke shared in an interview that the diagnosis came after multiple EKGs and that she is actively collaborating with her cardiologist.
