Apollo Cancer Centres in Vanagaram has introduced 'Apollo Nambikkai,' a dedicated support community for cancer survivors and their caregivers. This new initiative, launched recently, is designed to foster connection and provide ongoing support after active cancer treatment concludes.
The program was unveiled as part of a Cancer Survivors Programme, which gathered approximately 100 individuals to acknowledge their resilience. The community will initially operate from the Vanagaram center, with plans for expansion across all Apollo Cancer Centre units.
Members can engage through a dedicated WhatsApp group. This platform will host expert sessions, facilitate interactions with fellow survivors, and offer guidance on nutrition, lifestyle, and psychological well-being. The aim is to create a continuous support network for those navigating life after cancer treatment.
