Angie Best, 73, has shared a health update from her hospital bed in Switzerland as she prepares for her second round of chemotherapy. Diagnosed with colon cancer that has since spread to her liver, she is now receiving treatment.
Doctors have instructed Angie to gain weight for her treatment, requiring her to consume high-calorie beverages, which she described as 'awful'. She is also undergoing Mistletoe therapy, an alternative treatment using extracts from the European mistletoe plant, alongside conventional chemotherapy.
Her son, Calum, publicly announced her diagnosis earlier this month, expressing emotional distress and financial concerns regarding her specialist care. He has set up a GoFundMe page to help cover treatment costs.
