Andhra Pradesh has achieved the top position nationwide for its efforts in controlling HIV cases and delivering medical services. This accomplishment was announced by the Minister for Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare, Satya Kumar Yadav.
The National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) recently conducted a performance review of all State AIDS Control Societies for the period of April to December 2025. Andhra Pradesh emerged as the leader, scoring 107 points out of a possible 141 across 33 key indicators.
The State demonstrated notable progress, excelling in 25 out of the 33 indicators evaluated. This represents a significant advancement from the end of the 2024-2025 financial year when Andhra Pradesh ranked 12th nationally.
