31 Mar
Summary
- Over 110,000 bassinets recalled due to dangerous attachment gaps.
- Products sold on Amazon between October 2023 and December 2025.
- Consumers urged to stop use immediately and contact for repair kit.

Federal regulators have announced a recall of approximately 110,400 AirClub Convertible Bassinets, sold on Amazon between October 2023 and December 2025. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has determined that these bassinets, used as bedside sleepers, violate mandatory safety standards. The recalled units, all Model QX-831, pose a significant risk due to their attachment mechanism, which can create a dangerous gap between the bassinet and an adult mattress. This gap presents a deadly fall hazard for infants. No injuries or deaths have been reported thus far, but parents are urged to cease using the product immediately. AirClub is providing a repair kit to address the issue, which involves replacing the original straps with new ones. Parents are instructed to cut off the L-shaped straps and install four new straps with T-shaped buckles for safer use. This recall highlights the critical importance of secure attachment for bedside sleepers to prevent infant falls, entrapment, or suffocation, aligning with CPSC's safe-sleep guidance for firm, flat sleeping surfaces. The recall emphasizes the need for vigilance regarding product safety, even for items previously considered safe. Consumers should check federal recall databases regularly for updates.
