1 Dec
Summary
- Holiday bark varieties recalled due to undeclared pecans and wheat.
- Packaging error caused mix-up between cookie butter and pecan flavors.
- No illnesses reported; customers urged to discard affected products.

Aldi has issued a voluntary recall for two types of its Choceur-branded Holiday Bark due to a significant packaging mix-up. The affected varieties include the Cookie Butter flavor and the Pecan, Cranberry & Cinnamon flavor. This recall was initiated by Silvestri Sweets Inc. after it was discovered that the labels were swapped between the two products.
Consequently, the Cookie Butter Holiday Bark may contain undeclared pecans, and the Pecan, Cranberry & Cinnamon flavor might contain undeclared wheat. Consumers with allergies or severe sensitivities to these ingredients are at risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions. The company is urging customers to immediately discard the recalled bark.
No adverse reactions or illnesses have been reported thus far. The affected products were distributed to Aldi stores across the United States. Customers can identify the recalled items by their lot numbers and best-by dates. Silvestri Sweets Inc. has provided a contact number for customers with questions or concerns.
