Summary

On early Tuesday morning, the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad played a crucial role in a life-saving operation. A donated liver, transported from Jabalpur, arrived in the city via a chartered aircraft, coordinating arrangements for its swift movement.
The organ was donated by a 40-year-old Jabalpur resident declared brain-dead after a road accident. Their family's decision to donate organs provided a chance for transplantation to patients awaiting the procedure.
Air India Transport Service Ltd managed the airport logistics, implementing priority measures for the organ's transfer. A dedicated five-member medical team from Ahmedabad had traveled to Jabalpur to retrieve the vital organ before its flight to Ahmedabad for transplantation at a private facility.
