- Vadodara saw a significant increase of 4,775 beds post-pandemic.

Ahmedabad has significantly expanded its healthcare infrastructure, adding around 2,000 hospital beds since the Covid-19 pandemic. This represents a 20-25% increase in capacity, with a strong focus on superspeciality services and mid-segment hospitals offering 50 to 100 beds.
The growth in bed capacity, particularly for ICU and oxygen facilities which constitute about 15% of new beds, was spurred by the pandemic's demand. Government hospitals also saw enhancements, with Civil Hospital's MediCity adding new facilities and beds.
