The affected individuals, comprising elderly persons, women, and children, began experiencing symptoms of vomiting and loose motions shortly after consumption.

These devotees were promptly transported to various hospitals in Ludhiana for medical attention. Hospital officials have confirmed that all patients are currently in stable condition, with many having already been discharged after receiving first aid. The incident occurred during the Sangrand of Maghi.

A preliminary investigation by the health department indicated that the "gajrela" was purchased from a sweetmeat shop on Barewal Road and distributed in two batches.
