In an alarming incident on Tuesday, approximately 100 students at Jawahar Lal Prema Devi School in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, were hospitalized due to illness. The students began experiencing symptoms of headache and vomiting shortly after consuming Albendazole tablets as part of a district-wide deworming campaign.
Of the roughly 150 students who received the medication, about 100 reported discomfort, leading to immediate concern among parents and school staff. Thirty-three students were initially taken to the Community Health Centre in Kamalganj, while 67 others were transferred to Lohia Hospital at the district headquarters.
