- Hackathon focused on empowering youth action against climate change.
Sixteen young individuals recently participated in a timed hackathon, developing creative solutions to combat climate change. Hosted in Ipswich, the event focused on devising strategies for pressing environmental issues such as light pollution, wildfires, ocean damage, and poor water quality.
The resulting ideas are now featured in a free, touring exhibition running until October 4th. This exhibition presents 24 pop-up panels filled with global information and case studies illustrating the impact of climate change.
The hackathon was facilitated by ambassadors from the youth-led organization #iWill. Their aim was to demonstrate to young people that they can enact meaningful personal change, even when facing significant challenges like climate change. This initiative underscores the importance of youth engagement in addressing environmental concerns.
