Forest Dept Foils Poaching Attempts

Forest personnel in Rampachodavaram forest division have dismantled hundreds of illegal hunting traps and snares over three days, significantly mitigating threats to wildlife. The operation successfully removed 242 snares, 10 foot traps, and nearly 10 kilometers of hazardous electric wires, underscoring the government's commitment to conservation.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan commended the forest staff for their dedication and courage in challenging conditions. He highlighted that protecting animals from poachers is akin to a rescue operation, requiring constant vigilance. Kalyan also appealed to tribal communities living near forest boundaries to remain alert and report any unauthorized traps or fencing to forest authorities.

Emphasizing forests as a valuable natural heritage, Kalyan urged public cooperation in conservation efforts to prevent biodiversity loss and ecological imbalance. He advised forest personnel to foster strong community relations to enhance protection measures and encourage public participation in safeguarding wildlife. Additionally, plans are underway for waste management improvements to ensure a pollution-free Godavari Pushkaralu.
