Viral Video: Man Returns Trash to Tourists

A recent viral video captured a moment of civic responsibility on the road to Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. A man identified as Anoop Nautiyal, founder of an environmental group, calmly confronted passengers in a taxi who were discarding plastic waste from their moving vehicle. Nautiyal retrieved a plastic cup and spoon, personally returning them to the tourists and explaining that littering is unacceptable, especially in the sensitive mountain environment.

The tourists reportedly acknowledged their error and apologized for their actions. Nautiyal shared that he emphasized the need for responsible tourism in Uttarakhand. He notably avoided public shaming, believing that a respectful approach was more effective. The incident resonated online, with many praising his calm demeanor and highlighting the ongoing issue of littering in India's hill stations despite awareness efforts.
