A significant two-day conference bringing together chief wildlife wardens from tiger range states and field directors of tiger reserves began on Friday. This crucial meeting is taking place at the renowned Sariska Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan. The event is being presided over by the Union Minister for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, who also leads the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).
During the conference, Minister Yadav released the January edition of NTCA's outreach journal, STRIPES. This publication is dedicated to showcasing exemplary practices in tiger conservation. It delves into vital areas such as effective habitat management, the strategic deployment of modern technology, efforts to increase prey populations, successful tiger translocation initiatives, and the indispensable role of community participation in safeguarding these endangered big cats.
