Sixteen-year-old Saarakshi Singh's impactful civic awareness initiatives are now integrated into Jaipur's municipal operations. The Jaipur Municipal Corporation has adopted three of her designed Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) posters for use in public campaigns and sanitation outreach. These posters, developed under her 'Gulabi Rakshak' initiative, aim to foster public engagement on cleanliness, civic responsibility, and waste management through creative communication and youth leadership.
Singh's dedication extends to ensuring the safety of sanitation workers. Through her Sanitation Workers' Protection Initiative, she led a crowdfunding campaign that surpassed its goal, raising Rs 1.05 lakh. This fund enabled the distribution of over 300 personal protective equipment (PPE) kits. Her efforts also involve organizing plogging and cleanliness drives under the Plog4Jaipur initiative, educating students and volunteers about plastic pollution and sustainable waste practices.
