A six-banded armadillo named Stanley is currently at large in East Sussex, prompting a public appeal for sightings. Stanley escaped from his enclosure at Animal Magic, a company based near Hailsham that provides animals for educational visits and parties.
Reports of Stanley's whereabouts have emerged along the Cuckoo Trail, a path connecting Hailsham and Polegate. Co-owner Chris Coetzer indicated that Stanley managed to force open a door to escape, recalling a previous instance where he had to chase the swift animal.
Coetzer speculates that Stanley might be attracted to food smells emanating from a local farm shop or from campers in the vicinity. The public is requested to report any sightings of the six-banded armadillo directly to Animal Magic to facilitate his safe return.
