A startling rescue unfolded in Gujarat's Valsad district when a wildlife rescuer administered CPR to a snake that had fallen unconscious. The incident occurred in Amdha village after the snake, a non-venomous rat snake, climbed an electric pole and made contact with a high-tension wire.
Falling approximately 15 feet, the snake was found by farm laborers who promptly contacted local rescuer Mukesh Vayad. Vayad, who has a decade of experience in snake rescue and training from the Snake Research Institute, took immediate action. He performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on the reptile for nearly 30 minutes.
After persistent efforts, the snake began to show signs of life and eventually moved into nearby bushes. A photograph of the unique rescue attempt quickly gained traction on social media platforms, drawing widespread attention to Vayad's dedicated actions.
