Supreme Court Halts Aravalli Mining Amid Ecological Crisis

The court has reinforced its stay on its November 20 judgment, which had narrowed the definition of Aravallis. It reiterated that no new or renewed mining leases will be permitted in identified Aravalli areas without prior Supreme Court approval.
