Summary

- The seal, named Nirvana, is recovering well at an RSPCA center.
- Nirvana will eventually be released back into the wild.

A young grey seal, found in a distressed state on a litter-strewn beach following Storm Bram, is now making a remarkable recovery. The underweight pup was discovered near Seatown, Dorset, on December 9th, visibly struggling amidst debris and mud.
A concerned member of the public contacted British Divers Marine Life Rescue, leading to the swift rescue of the seal. The animal has since been transferred to the RSPCA's West Hatch facility in Somerset for specialized care.
Named Nirvana by his rescuers, the male seal is responding well to treatment and is expected to be fully rehabilitated. The ultimate goal is for Nirvana to be successfully released back into his natural marine habitat.
