In a significant development, an award-winning wildlife park in Suffolk has become home to three magnificent big cats. As of October 21st, 2025, Jimmy's Farm and Wildlife Park, located near Ipswich, has welcomed Asiatic lions Kamal and Rani, as well as Amur tiger Kalinka, who were previously housed at Chessington World of Adventures Resort.
The new arrivals will be based at a specially designed, "expansive and enriching" reserve within the Jimmy's Farm site in Wherstead. This spacious enclosure will allow the big cats to freely explore, rest, and play, providing them with an optimal environment to thrive.
Jimmy Doherty, the CEO and founder of Jimmy's Farm and Wildlife Park, expressed his delight at the new additions, stating that the animals are "settling in brilliantly" and that he is "thrilled" to have them at the park. This move not only enhances the visitor experience but also contributes to the conservation efforts for these endangered species.
