In Mandwada village, Barwani district, a remarkable rescue operation unfolded on Monday afternoon when a nearly 10-foot-long python, alongside 11 of its eggs, was found and safely retrieved. The discovery was made by a farmer diligently working in his field, who spotted the large serpent coiled within a patch of dense bushes.
Alerted by the farmer, villagers gathered, and snake rescuer Nilesh Upadhyay was called to the scene. After ensuring the safety of onlookers, Upadhyay carefully executed the rescue, which lasted approximately 30 minutes. The python and its clutch of eggs were secured without any reported injuries or damage.
Upadhyay noted that the python's presence during its breeding season is common, as females seek safe locations for egg-laying. These often include agricultural fields and secluded spots. Following the successful rescue, the python and its eggs were returned to a natural forest environment, allowing them to continue their life cycle undisturbed.
