The Earthshot Prize CEO, Jason Knauf, says Rio is the "perfect place" to celebrate the amazing environmental innovations that have emerged from the first half of the Earthshot Decade.
Indeed, the progress has been remarkable. In just 5 years, the Earthshot finalists have raised over $500 million in funding and protected or restored an area of land and sea equivalent to the combined size of Italy, France, and Greece. As Prince William noted, this "urgent optimism" has been at the heart of the prize from the beginning, and it shows no signs of slowing down.
