Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad Enjoy Cleaner Air After Recent Rainfall
31 Oct
Summary
- Air quality in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad improves to "moderate" category
- Light rain and increased wind speed helped disperse pollutants
- Experts caution that the respite may be temporary, urge residents to limit outdoor activity

As of November 1, 2025, the air quality in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad has improved significantly, with all three regions recording "moderate" air quality levels. This marks a welcome change from the recent "poor" and "very poor" air quality that had plagued the region.
The improvement in air quality is attributed to minor weather changes over the past 24 hours. Light rain was reported in parts of Noida, while Faridabad received scattered showers and Delhi witnessed isolated rainfall. Additionally, a slight increase in wind speed helped in dispersing the accumulated pollutants and clearing the lower atmosphere.
Prior to this, the air quality in the three regions had largely remained in the "poor" and "very poor" bracket since mid-October, with experts citing unfavorable meteorological conditions, rising vehicle emissions, and ongoing construction dust in the NCR region as contributing factors.
However, experts have cautioned that the respite may be temporary. They have urged residents to continue following pollution advisories and limit outdoor activity during morning and evening hours when pollution levels tend to spike. The forecast indicates that the region will continue to witness clear to partly cloudy conditions over the next few days, with no weather warnings in place.
