Noida's first dedicated Deer Park is scheduled to open by December-end, situated within the city's Biodiversity Park in Sector 91. This significant wildlife development is being established on a 30-acre area and represents an investment of ₹40 crore.
The park is designed to meet Central Zoo Authority norms and will feature enclosures for nine different species of deer, alongside a variety of birds. Efforts are underway to complete boundary walls and set up enclosures, with further plans for reception areas, ticket counters, and a veterinary clinic.
Deer will be sourced from various zoos across India, and some rescued deer will also be relocated to the park. Additionally, African species like Springbok and Wildebeest are proposed for import. The facility intends to function as a conservation and education center, offering guided tours and workshops.
The project has received approval from the Central Zoo Authority, with retired Indian Forest Service officers serving as wildlife planning experts. The Biodiversity Park itself, spanning 75 acres, is recognized for its diverse native flora and medicinal herbs.
