Subsequent reports by the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) confirmed the presence of plastic waste and sewage discharge into the pond, with water quality tests failing to meet prescribed norms. The MCD has since reported progress on desilting and cleaning.
The NGT has disposed of the application, contingent on the MCD finishing the remaining revival work. The DPCC is tasked with inspecting the site to prevent future pollution and will collect fresh water samples for a follow-up report.
