Summary
- Manesar plans Chandigarh-style roundabouts and 35km green belts.
- Anti-smog guns and towers will be deployed to combat dust pollution.
- Initiatives aim to improve air quality and urban aesthetics via CSR.

Manesar's Municipal Corporation is initiating a significant urban overhaul focused on beautification and air quality improvement. Plans include redesigning major roundabouts on HSVP roads to mirror Chandigarh's landscaped traffic circles. This project aims to enhance road aesthetics across the city.
The corporation also intends to develop nearly 35 kilometers of green belts and central verges through public-private partnerships. Treated wastewater from sewage treatment plants will be utilized for maintaining these green spaces, reducing reliance on fresh water resources.
To tackle pervasive dust pollution, Manesar will procure anti-smog guns for water sprinkling and install anti-smog towers in identified dust hotspots. These measures are aligned with guidelines from the Commission for Air Quality Management.
The initiatives are proposed to be executed via corporate social responsibility funding. Private entities, NGOs, and resident associations are invited to participate in developing and maintaining green spaces, fostering community involvement.
A detailed implementation roadmap is expected within a week, with the corporation targeting project completion within six months. These efforts are crucial for Manesar's rapidly urbanizing and industrializing environment.
