Farm Animals at Risk: Dog Owners Urged to Control Pets

This stress can unfortunately result in abortions, exhaustion, shock, or even death for the animals.
Recent legislative changes, specifically the Dogs (Protection of Livestock) (Amendment) Bill, have strengthened police enforcement powers. Authorities can now collect DNA samples from suspect dogs and order offenders to cover the costs associated with seizing and detaining animals. These measures aim to deter irresponsible dog ownership and protect vulnerable farm animals.
